Critter's Club | 4-6 Year Old | 6/22 - 6/26
with Summer Camp Staff
Ages: 4 - 6
Throughout the summer we invite campers ages 4-6 and 7-11 to join us for weeks filled with adventure, exploration, and discovery. Camps are held Monday through Friday, 9 am to noon. * Children will engage in thoughtfully planned, supervised outdoor learning activities. On Fridays, campers will enjoy “Friday Fun Day” at the beach! Space is limited per session to 15 campers for ages 4-6 and 16 campers for ages 7-11. Each child receives a Ridges Adventure Pack that they will use throughout the week and take home at the end.
Critters Club: Ages 4-6: Learn about the variety of critters that live at The Ridges, their adaptations, and the habitats in which they live.
Trail Trekkers | 7-11 Year Old | 6/22 - 6/26

Walk & Talk with Ridges Research Team | Monday, June 22
with Victoria Holderer
Meet at the Cabins at The Ridges to stroll down the Range Light Corridor Boardwalk to discuss ongoing research initiatives, focusing on research for restoration work with the dwarf lake iris and lady’s slipper orchids. Another program explained in-depth is the Boreal Climate Survivability Project. Numerous other collaborative research projects will be discussed.

Sanctuary Guided Hikes: Orchid Observations | Tuesday, June 23
with Ridges Naturalist
Join a naturalist for an in-depth exploration of The Ridges Sanctuary. We’ll head out on the trails to learn about its history, the unique features of its diverse habitats, and what makes the Sanctuary the most biologically diverse area in Wisconsin!
This 90-minute, in-depth guided hike includes a tour of our Upper Range Light, which has been restored to the period of the last Range Light Keeper. Suitable for all ages.

Summer Tiny Trekkers | Thursday, June 25
with Ridges Naturalist
Ages: 1 - 4
Take your Tiny Trekker to The Ridges to explore nature. Create a foundation of love and respect for the natural world through active play in nature between caregivers and children. Join a Ridges educator in gentle hiking, songs, and endless possibilities for exploration and experimentation. This program is suitable for caregivers and children walking through 3 years old.
Walk in registrations are welcome if a class is not full. Limit of 12 Trekkers per class. Each month explores a different theme.
